Hi, I’m Jody — a lifelong traveler with a heart full of maps and memories. I’ve explored all fifty states, wandered across 12 Canadian provinces and territories, enjoyed island hopping the Caribbean, and soaked in the cultures of Europe and Mexico. My travels have taken many forms: with family, as a couple, across generations, and most recently, solo. Each experience has deepened my love for travel and the stories it brings.
Before I set off on any trip, I love diving into other travelers’ experiences and advice. Now, I’m here to share mine — the lessons I’ve learned, the magical moments I’ve cherished, and the things I wish I’d known. 🏔️ Denali: A Memory That Shines Across Time
One of my most treasured travel memories is from August 1974, when my family drove across Canada and up the Alaska Highway. We camped at Wonder Lake Campground in Denali — then known as Mt. McKinley — in a tent. I still remember cooking breakfast beside my dad, the mountain rising like a dream behind us. It was pure magic.
Forty-five years later, my husband and I returned to Denali. The mountain was just as breathtaking, just as timeless. That trip reminded me how places can hold pieces of our hearts — and how revisiting them can feel like coming home.
👨👩👧👧 Travel Through the Generations
Since those early adventures with my parents and brothers, travel has remained a central part of my life. When our daughters were young, we spent many summers exploring the USA and nearby countries. Last summer, I traveled to Europe with both my daughters and my two granddaughters — three generations discovering new places together. The adventures were grand, and the memories we made are truly magical.
